Always liked Nic Cage but he has made some horrors in recent years (left behind springs to mind) but will give this a watch

I've not watched a film of his for a while, been some straight to dvd level crap.

    This really was good though.

The rock is one of my favourite films, me and the wife decided to watch a film of his every night back a few years ago..... Some. Awful, some OK and some just odd.

32 years ago. WAY more to do with David Lynch than Nicholas Cage. He had a decent few years as a "character" and then a genuine movie star, but soon went off the rails and up his own arse.

To me most of his films are “samey” - best one I’ve seen I think would be Con Air
If actors were footballers he’d be plying his trade in league two 🤨

    Very dark and disturbing film

    Brutal beating at the start

    Diane Ladd off her head

Willem Defoe blowing his own brains out

    Gave me the creeps

Me too. Saw it Chapter and was genuinely shaken. Seen it loads of times since and now it just seems funny. Except for the part where Sailor smashes that blokes head on the floor in the beginning. I actually played a gig in that place in 1988.

I also saw it at Chapter. At the time it was massive for them as the film wasn't being shown anywhere else in Cardiff. Haven't seen bigger queues at the place before or after.

I can't take that stuff. I'm not into gore. I remember being freaked out at the stabbing scene in The Long Good Friday. Flowing/pumping blood does my head in.

Don't watch flower of flesh and blood then

The bloke who directed that and anyone who enjoyed it needs to be locked up
