I thought yesterday, especially in the first half we still bypassed the midfield.
Ralls and Bacuna would join the front line, Pack would then drop into the back line leaving 50 yards of space with not a blue shirt in sight. Play the long ball and inevitably lose the header, bouncing to a green shirt in the space. Imediately we are on the back foot.
I the second half we pushed the ball outside more and the centre backs pushed up, closing the gap. Much better.
If you want 3 in the middle, keep some sort of formation/structure. We will stop conceding
Yep at times it was a clear two blue lines, so much space for someone to drop into. No option but to go long or back.
It was so obvious and happened more than once that I can only assume it was intended.
