In part, but the guy who masterminded the purchasing of players, Everton's director of football, Marcel Brands has taken most of the flak for Everton's plight and has left this week.

My point is that the players are trying hard - and it must be disheartening to see fans walking out and continuing to protest.

The walk out wasn’t because the team to lose. It was to show protest against owners who’ve been absolutely clueless.

Of course they still want there team to win, walking out midway through a half live on sky was a way in making the biggest impact to the biggest audience. That’s why it was the right time and place.

It’s absolutely nothing to do with the players.
