That must have filled the fans with optimism.

Some of the rubbish played earlier in the season should have triggered a refund!

Ha! I remember entering the ground there.....and definitely NO money refunded. Used to walk under the Grange End to the top corner right by the toilets - it was a good bit higher than the terracing below. Think I used to pay sixpence to get in.....

Totally unrelated, but does anyone remember where Ferris Row was - or got a photo, please.

There’s some Likely Lads on here who should know.

Was this a street in Cardiff? Any ideas whereabouts - Splott, Docks, Newtown, etc?

It was Maindy. Drop down from Parkfield Place, over the canal and in 1880 there were Patent Fuel Works and a Soap factory down there, beside the railway. There were 27 hovels in the row but I'm not completely sure where they were. They are not marked on any map I've seen and they're under the Uni Sports Campus now.

(Saw you from a distance on Tuesday. You and your son only?)

I've scoured all the usual websites, and all the maps I can find, and can't see any trace of this. How do you know about it? I'm not doubting you - just wondering how it came to your attention.
My son is away at Uni at the moment, but I usually sit next to the same guy - though he's a lot older than my boy! Maybe it was someone else...

    Thanks for looking.
I'm researching the family history of a poster's wife and an ancestor lived there in 1891. There are 40+ references to the row on the Wales Newspaper site (https://newspapers.library.wales/sea...T00%3A00%3A00Z) and I think I've found an aerial photo of it from 1930.

When I got in City had scored. One of the best games I’ve seen at NP. Half time 5-0 full time 6-1 Brilliant result.
