    PHIL “joe” DWYER’S funeral arrangements

    Retired Cardiff City Footballer / Retired South Wales Police Officer. It is with great sadness that the family announce that Philip passed away on Tuesday 30th November at the University Hospital of Wales, aged 68. Beloved husband of Ann, cherished father of Darren and Claire and much loved Bamp of Luca and Erin. The funeral will be held on Wednesday 22nd December, where the funeral cortege will drive and pause outside Cardiff City Football Stadium at 10:15am, then onto Cardiff and Glamorgan Crematorium, Port Road East, Wenvoe for the service at 11am. Family flowers by request, donations if so desired, can be made in Philip's memory directly to the Alzheimers Society, Scott Lodge, Scott Road, Plymouth, PL2 3DU or to Calon Hearts, White House Cottage, Cathedral Green, Llandaff, Cardiff, CF5 2EB, or online at www.calonhearts.org/donate.     Thanks for the info. It would be great to see a decent turnout of fans at the CCS. Also if every City fan sent a donation to the Alzheimers Society then that would be a fitting tribute to Joe and provide such a worthy cause with a welcome boost of funds. It ought to be possible to raise a decent amount if every one sent just a fiver - £50K from 10,000 fans?

    Just clicked on the link to calonhearts.org but there is no mention of Alzheimers Society on there - it's all about heart screening and defibrillators? Maybe the original notice is intended to mean you can donate EITHER to the Alzheimers Society or CalonHearts, it's not clear.
