Aim to get the vehicle between the white lines, handbrake up.

I've booked a room in Crewe and a Sunday morning train into Liverpool. Will then get a cab or an Uber

Anfield is not a car friendly place.

Cardiff City will be in the FA Cup 5th round draw.

Weirdly the FA have decided to make the draw approx. 20 mins before Cardiff kick off at Anfield on Sunday morning.

So Liverpool or Cardiff are ball 12 and will know their prospective opponents before they kick off at midday.

There’s a variety of public transport options

    https://www.liverpoolfc.com/return-o...ing-to-anfield

Shuttle buses run from the City Centre.

Also, there’s a shuttle bus from Sandhills station.

    Both known as Soccerbus.

I have used both options as a City fan for Everton and Liverpool games and they’re both good.

Mike’s right when he says parking is not a great option. Anfield is a bugger to get to off the motorway, as are train stations that take you to Sandhills. But I’ve parked up at St Micheal’s or Aigburth station before now and caught the train to Sanhdhills and then the Soccerbus.

Public transport to my house is non-existant on a Sunday so I’m having to drive in. Parki g will be a nightmare.

Liverpool South Parkway. Free parking then take the train towards Southport. Get off at Sandhills. Soccerbus outside (loads of them) will then drop you off at the bottom of Anfield Road. Ask for a Soccerbus return which includes train and bus (£3.80 return). LSP to Anfield is about 35 minutes and you are on the right side of Liverpool to get away after picking the car up, presuming you are heading south.

Liverpool South Parkway is easy to get to from the south. Motorway/dual carriageway nearly all the way. £2 toll on the new bridge though.

    Correction...£3.30 adult return train/bus not £3.80.

    Match Facts:

    • Liverpool have scored 15 goals across their last four meetings with Cardiff City, winning all four matches in what were Premier League ties in 2013-14 and 2018-19.
    • Cardiff and Liverpool last met outside of league competition during the 2012 League Cup final, a match which was drawn 2-2 with the Reds eventually going on to lift the trophy after a penalty shootout. Cardiff, however, have won the only two FA Cup meetings with Liverpool in 1930 (round 3) and 1928 (round four).
    • In their six previous campaigns under Jürgen Klopp, Liverpool have been eliminated from the fourth round of the FA Cup on four occasions – more than any other side in the competition in this time.
    • Starting with their 2008 final defeat to Portsmouth, Cardiff have lost six of their last seven FA Cup ties with top-flight opposition, only moving past Newcastle in round three back in 2013-14.
    • In round three, Kaide Gordon (17y 96d) became the second-youngest goalscorer in Liverpool's history, after only Ben Woodburn v Leeds in November 2016 (17 years 45 days).

Any idea how much the busses from the city centre are? Also where they go from?

    Cheers

Bus is fast frequent and convenient with 'express' services that will get you to and from Anfield and Liverpool City Centre in around 15mins.*

The 917 is operating from Commutation Row in the City Centre. Prices from £2.20 for single journey, £4.40 for a return journey or £12 return ticket for groups of four are available. U19’s can travel for just £1. You can find out more by clicking here.

    Other services are available...

From Liverpool City Centre, take the 26 from Liverpool ONE bus station, 17 from Queen Square Bus Station or the 917 from St Johns Lane, directly to the ground. The 68/168, which operates between Bootle and Aigburth, and the 14 and 19 (from Queen Square) stop a short walk away from the ground.

We have scored on our last 5 trips to Anfield. Only Blackpool can claim a better record. No current PL or European side has scored in their last 5 visits to Anfield.
