Surely it's for kids? Why would any adult pay loads of money to want to watch massive blokes play-acting and breaking balsa wood chairs over each other 😂

Re: WWE Clash at the Castle

Biggest question for me is why it’s called clash at the castle, when it’s in a rugby stadium ?
I know clash at the rugby stadium wouldn’t be as good a slogan but at least it would be honest

    Ruck at the rugby
    Slam at the stadium
    Pretend at the principality
Maul at what was the millennium
    Wrestling at the wru

Purely based on what my WWE-mad kids tell me, it's been a sell-out for months?

would probably be a bit of a laugh, except i dont know the characters now, if it was back in the days of the macho man, brett hart, british bulldog etc i'd have wanted to go :)

This doesnt have much to do with wrestling from what I can tell. Terrible effort.

My youngest son is going with a bunch of his mates and he's 23.When I said they are all play acting he retorted " that bunch of tossers I watch pretend to be good at football."

Is it not even at the castle?

    What a complete marketing swizz.

My daughter and fiance are going (late 20s)
They paid 100s , on the day tickets went on sale, but say they got a good deal as they are near the ring, and tickets around them are normally more than double what they paid - and tickets up in the gods are the same as what they paid.

They were in town yesterday and happened to look at the stadium all decked out, and by chance saw a couple of wrestlers (I don't know who) and asked for a pic with them and they obliged! Photos with the "stars" cost megabucks at the event.

I presume they will refund the thousands waiting outside the wrong venue

Only the TV audience will see the castle, I believe.
But yes, bit of marketing trickery there.

It’s not my thing but I wouldn’t knock it for being fake and pretend.

I don’t feel cheated out of my money when I go to the cinema and find out Liam Neeson didn’t really fight terrorists on a plane or Ewan McGregor can’t actually move things with his mind.

I was amazed to see how much publicity was given to it last night on Wales Today. They didn't even try to hide the fact that it had nothing to do with the news but just one big free bloody advert.

I don’t know, why do you spend money to watch blokes kick a ball of air around?

Re: WWE Clash at the Castle

I have no problem with it, if people enjoy it, then fair play.
I think the wrestling can sometimes be quite entertaining but it's missing the characters that it used to have for sure.
Agree about calling it an event at the castle, bit naughty that.
