It was the coalition government of 2010/15 that failed to start building them.

In power for over 12 years the Conservative party have done virtually nothing to increase nuclear power.

In 2017 the Conservative government allowed gas storage to be slashed. This was done purely to increase profit and is a major part of the gas price problem today.

Conservative governments since 2015 have not invested sufficiently in green energy such as wind and solar.

But, of course, it's all the fault of the Labour Party
The UK is literally the world leader in off shore wind. We have massively invested in wind and solar, significantly more than other countries. There's been about a 7 fold increase in renewables in UK since 2010.

You are right on gas storage, which does seem an odd choice, because it makes us reliant on regular shipments..nonetheless, this is all working out better for us (or less bad) than on the continent atm.

Why the fk should making money from property be the preserve of the wealthy and denied to working class people?

The issue isn’t that some people who lived in their own homes were allowed to gain the value of them, it’s that not enough new council housing was built to replace it.

I've noticed, it is nearly always people who own their own homes that seek to prevent others from having the right to do the same.
Any thoughts why the social housing stock didn't get replaced?

Any thoughts about the legacy of 'right to buy' has had on the current housing issues?

Nick Clegg is now working at the globalist entity known as Facebook/Meta, which tells you all you need to know.

You will own nothing and you will be happy is the globalist mantra. Everything is going according to plan.

The Labour Party under Starmer would do exactly the same thing.

What about the other Sir's & Dame's they safe from working class hatred ?

    6/10 for me, destroyed Corbyn.

Invested in vaccine research when others like Sir Kier said it was a waste of money.

Bravely survived a bad bout of Covid and got back at it.

Honoured a democratic leave vote , unlike others who tried to overturn democracy.

Came up with some funny titles for Sir Kier ( yes he is posh as well ) Captain Hindsight ,'Sir Beer Korma' “Captain Crasheroony Snoozefest” being the best .
    ..
Moved on Ukraine while others hesitated ..

From Labour Org :::: where does this perception come from https://labourlist.org/2022/03/exclu...gy-poll-shows/

“Labour’s perceived ambivalence towards nuclear power has been a factor in the recent loss of seats such as Workington, Barrow and Furness, Ynys Môn and Hartlepool. In fact, following the Hartlepool by-election loss, there are now no nuclear power stations represented by Labour MPs,” the trade union official said.

The new Savanta ComRes poll for LabourList indicates that the Conservative Party is seen by significantly more people as pro-nuclear energy, with 40% describing it as such and only 9% saying the ruling party was anti.

The Liberal Democrats were seen by 14% as pro and 23% as anti, according to the research
