Strange. Brings in wingers and then reverts to a wing-back defensive system.

    And NELSON on the bench...
Let’s hope he doesn’t get on and give another pelenty away

I think it is desperate measures.

Weve looked so vulnerable at set pieces I think he had to change it.

I dont think he could put any side out though with the squad hes put together that id feel confident.

Anyone else put a few quid on Middlesbrough for some easy money?

I’m hoping this is one of those messages that come back to bite me, I really hope so but Harris shouldn’t be near that 11.

    Id prefer him to Watters.

Not sure I do and I’m not sure they should be the options either.

Looks like he's gone narrow with a 442 to me.
O'Dowda might be allowed to roam a bit to give a bit of width with one of the forwards covering.
    Who knows what to expect

    Cmon City

    It looks 3 5 2 or 5 3 2 to me.

I really hope Ng or Simpson arent LB.

    That's no 442, surely?

Maybe but at least it looks like he is trying something a little different with two up top, hopefully Harris and Robinson can get something going between them.

    No chance, 5-3-2 effectively.
You wouldn't mind it if we had a creative midfielder in there and good wingbacks, but we don't.

No. If it was that would be a bonkers team line up.

Looking at it again probably 532.

Feck knows what it'll end up like though

Odd to go with a back 5 and drop Nkounkou who looked good going forward but not defensively, as is not playing one creative midfielder when you have the security of 3 centre backs

Sawyers should be in for Ralls.

It looks literally like a vote of no confidence in his players to me.
He's not confident enough in his centre-backs to play a 2-man pairing, and he's not confident enough in his central midfielders to play 2 in there and allow them to be put under a bit more pressure.
It seems a complete waste to stick 2 up front in this scenario as we have less width and zero creativity through the middle.

I dont think he has confidence in the 2 centre backs.

As for playing 2 in the centre hes picked a side to battle by the looks. Id have played Colwill or Sawyers.

Agree. Whilst Harris isn't the answer to our goal scoring problems, i actually think he's half decent footballer but a bit of an enigma in regards to what his best position is. Plus we might need these players next season in Lee Juan

I think that Morison would be unhappy to hear you say 5 at the back, he doesn't like that

No doubt he'd say 3 at the back but let's be honest, he's effectively playing two full-backs, not two wide midfielders so he'd be talking bollocks

....through the middle?! We'll have none of the bleedin' obvious thank you very much! We do corner flags and...um...err...no target man or back post lurker or anyone on the D. Hopefully O'Dowda can pick up back post position like at Reading.
