    Bale

How does he get himself fit enough to last more than 30 mins between now and the World Cup?

    Re: Bale

It’s his swan song, leave him alone to retire peacefully.

A couple of cameo appearances and it’s goodbye from him

We could do with a few more goals before he rides off into the sunset.

He'll be injured by then, the Yanks will take him out.

When was the last time he did that? Was it the game where he scored those two wonder goals while not getting a look in Real Madrid?

If he would have came here, the expectation would have been so high, he would have been forced to put maximum effort and commitment into his appearances, thus increasing the odds of him getting injured and missing the World Cup.

I do not hold it against him for taking the easy option (plus the ££’s)

Read the heading, thought he was in the frame for the City hot seat.

They have a maximum of five games to do it. Could be a s few as three.

    Re: Bale

I think he's got some sort of fitness plan going on that will see him peak just before the opening World Cup game, as there's no way he is going to Qatar as a passenger.

he's probably exhausted from playing golf poor chap!

    Re: Bale

It’s not like he was huffing and puffing after 30minutes of football. He played 80+ minutes against Ukraine and now he’s playing and training regularly.

I predict he’ll play at least 70 minutes in every game. Possibly subbed off to give James/Wilson/Johnson a run against tired defenders.

Johnson, Wilson and Bale have to start for me. James not fulfilling his potential.

    Re: Bale

Looked pretty fit yesterday. I can't see any reason (presuming he avoids injury) of being fully match fit by the start of the world cup

For me, it’s more important getting Ramsey on the pitch

Absolutely. Looked like we missed him, or Wilson. I’d play one of those two through the middle over James and Johnson in a front 3

2 goals and an assist in the last 3 games against Belgium & Holland, and you want to bench Johnson?

    Brennan is a must
Speed wins games and he’s got pace in abundance along with his ability to take players on and terrifying defence’s 👍

I like his unpredictability, and he could have scored a goal too. I'm sure he would see it as a bad miss, considering his usual accuracy in such circumstances. 2 goals and an assist in consecutive games against top class opposition is in the upper echelons, and that's when the big clubs start taking notice.

    Re: Bale

    Absolutely
Pace on both flanks crossing the ball into Kieffer
I thought we played really well against a top ranked side
All we took out of the performance were more positives heading to Qatar 🤩👍
