Apologies ... when list was copied, forgot that Frank Burrows had 2 stints as manager.

Bobby Gould appears to be our most successful manager, but obviously the win stats is affected by the quality of the league.

    Re: History of CCFC Managers

Malky Mackay & Dave Jones are arguably the best we've had considering the length of their tenures.

Finally - proof of what I've insisted for years - that Terry Yorath was the worst manager we ever had. God, I hate that guy.

Malky is the best manager we’ve ever had.

    Purely subjective...

    The best, Burrows and Jones.

The worst, Durban, Morison and I got Phil Neal in my head. Was he only caretaker manager?

The list shows how few decent managers we’ve had. That won’t change with Tan in charge

    Where's Eddie May?

    Worst Durban.

    No question about it.

Best. Warnock edges Malky. Burrows , Eddie , Ashurst only others I really rated.

Nope. Flattered to deceive. Had the sides to do well in the PL but had no toughness to get promoted. Too often we disappeared when it was really needed under his management.

    Re: History of CCFC Managers

What does "flattered to decieve" even mean? It seems like term that's exclusive to football. Jones had a great squad and managed a good game. For the most part. Although many accused him of not having a "Plan B". Which is about as basic a term as I can think of.

If Jones flattered to deceive, what did Warnock do? Is there an opposite term?

Neil Warnock: Can you spot the incredible facts?

Sorry if this has already been posted but just stumbled across this on the BBC Sport website.
