Hello me old
I've got an 05 VW Polo (9N face-lift 1.4l petrol)
The battery died on its arse and I've just changed it. Prior to this it was a little lumpy on start so I changed the plugs. I noticed one of the coil packs seemed a little darker than the others. The battery warning light is still on, it runs well other than at idle at 500rpm it seems a little lumpy.
I've checked the belts and they seem fine. I assume I just need to change said coil pack? Which has just been made harder given that the bonnet release hand has snapped and I can't budge the bugger. Any suggestions how to get open?
Just to add - the car hasn't really been driven much over the summer (and certainly not as frequently as pre covid), the boss has had the car since Jan 09 and it hasn't had a new battery in that time either
