: Two losses for Hudson going into derby against in form Swansea.

The two chasing the qpr player who went down for the penalty were woeffully out of position, not switched on etc, then Simpson put his arm across the player. You make **** ups like that and put yourself in vulnerable positions, then it's the fault of the defender in my opinion, it should never have developed into such a problem. People can blame the ref all they like, but if you walk on thin ice, it's no surprise when it cracks and you sink into freezing water. We ****ed up, we paid the price. Don't blame the Player for going down. If it had been a City player then nearly everyone on here slating the ref would have taken the sending off. Why people can't see that we manufactured the sending off through piss poor play in every respect is beyond me. These are Professionals, they know the score.
The ref wouldn't have made a mistake (and i don't think that it was a massive one) if the two clowns chasing the player down had been switched on, on their toes, anticipating what could happen, instead of standing about with their thumb up their arses. I'm sorry, and i know that it sounds harsh, but these players are professionals, Simpson knew the risk he was taking by putting his arm across, and he didn't put him arm across the player because he wanted to feel the quality of cloth the shirt was made out of. It was a cute foul, because he got himself in a horrendous position. People go in harder at call centre workers than they do City players for making **** ups
These hard luck stories tend to happen to sides who get relegated
Just because the ban has been overturned doesn’t mean that it wasn’t bad defending - we were all over the shop at the back while it was 0-0 and the way we opened up like the Red Sea to allow a kid making his first start of the season to run through the centre of the defence of our defence was criminal. The red card was ridiculous and should have been overturned, but we were woeful when it was eleven against eleven.
Of course it wasn't great defending, but the ref shouldn't send our player off and give them a penalty?
What was that for ref, "bad defending"
It's hard for our defence we look poor at the back we have lost Collins, NG from the centre, and Romeo, so we are weaker in the centre and either fullback.
O'Dowda may be the best option, but then we miss him up top?
The back up squad outside the first eleven is weak.
Until Romeo is back we are very vulnerable and really need to try someone else at left back other than Bagan.
Added to that post but in the wrong order.

I don’t agree, Ng (who I like), made a basic error in the first fifteen seconds which almost cost us, a few minutes later we were like headless chickens in our penalty area because of basic errors. It went on through that first twenty minutes and that was nothing to do with the ref.
Although I think we’re vulnerable to high balls and our left back can be an accident waiting to happen, I don’t think we’d defended badly this season until that first twenty minutes on Wednesday when we were shocking.
Early on in the season, I was getting concerned because we weren’t scoring and we weren’t creating anything, but we’d been good during a run of five matches apart from the one at Huddersfield. Unlike some on here, I think we’ve got a squad capable of quite a big improvement on last season, but the last two games have been a reminder as to why there are those who think we’re going down - we’ve got to be a lot better than we were for ninety minutes against Coventry (Madley or not, they were better than us) and the first twenty minutes at QPR.
Unlik
The refs at time this season have been diabolical.
If you put yourselves in positions for the decisions to hurt you then they almost always will though.
Deal with the QPR player running into the box earlier and it isn't a penalty and not a red card.
We're not helping ourselves currently. In short, if you're not at it and hand the initiative to other sides then there is all the more chance their incompetence will hurt you.
My biggest gripe is that We gave the referee the opportunity to make a decision, which i've alluded to countless times during this thread. It wasn't a sending off, although it was terrible play. We have all watched enough football to know that if we're dicing with trouble and inviting pressure then fingers get burnt. It may not be the right decision, but lets not put ourselves in the position to start with.
You obviously haven't seen it then. Since when has putting your arm across a player been an offence. It happens all the time and isn’t an offence in this case as Simpson is running ahead of the QPR player. He was within his rights to move across the player and block his route to the goal but the QPR player instigated the contact by kicking his leg and then diving to the ground.
