Whatever happens let's hope we have learned from the embarrassment of the last time we played them
I think Swansea will be expecting us to set up defensively. If, as you say, we go for it, I think it will surprise them and undo their approach to the game... I hope!

    Match facts

    • Swansea won both league meetings with rivals Cardiff last season – they have never beaten them three times in a row in the Football League.
    • Cardiff have lost four of their last six league visits to Swansea, winning the other two 1-0 in each of the 2010-11 and 2020-21 seasons.
    • Swansea have won six of their last eight league games, including each of the last three at home; the Swans could win four on the bounce at home for the first time since October 2021.
    • Cardiff have failed to win any of their last three Championship away games on a Sunday (D1 L2), with one of those defeats coming against Swansea last season (0-3).
    • Swansea’s Harry Darling has scored in each of his last two league games against Sunderland and Reading, while he’s only scored in three successive league games once before in July, netting on his debut for the Swans and in his last two league games for MK Dons the season prior.

Yep. Their defence hasn't been good this season. They've won 5 out of their last 6 but they've conceded 10.

Sounds like a section of their fans are an embarrassment to their club.

A must win game, due to points? Otherwise.. serious time to consider a real manager?

Difficult to see us getting anything out of this - we are drifting towards that whirlpool.

I’m not sure I have the fortitude to watch it.

The nerves will be there at kick off but nothing like it once was.

Just get stuck into them City. You might surprise yourselves.

Perfect defence... if you're a Swansea fan.

Re: SWANSEA CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread

I've gone clean sheet Swansea and minimum two goals in the game so expecting nothing.

However I'm also terrible at picking winners on my football bets so hopefully jinxed em!!

Delighted that Hudson has gone for a positive, creative attacking side.

Injuries haven't helped but I have no idea what that team is supposed to achieve. Looks like a battling team who is going to try to keep things tight for 60 minutes with the 2 big center halves and try to nick it. Then he's gone for a passenger in Ojo over Harris and stuck with Nkounkou... starting to think he's just throwing things out there and hoping something might stick, but let's hope he's got something here or could be a long game.

The problem is that his plans will go out of the window when they get their traditional opening goal in the first 10 minutes.
