But he said he did? He’s not one to lie surely?

Of course he does, it was kind of obvious wasn't it?

It’s good to see the his selflessness and the need to put the country first shine through in his decision not to stand.

    A true patriot.

    Well done Boris.

To the bitter end, he wouldn’t know the truth if he fell over it.

    From the BBC website:
'And Sunak - who is now seen as a favourite to be the next PM - added: "Although he has decided not to run for PM again, I truly hope he continues to contribute to public life at home and abroad."'

That sounds pretty ominous that he's been offered something to stand down.

And he had a hundred and two nominations as well - what a selfless soul he is. Lots of talks of coups in British politics at the moment, but this is one within the tory party, Truss was the elected leader by the rules of the party, but the "men in suits" decided she had to go and now they've nobbled Johnson - we're getting a PM who has no mandate from the general population, but that's par for the course these days, the difference with this one though is that even the 170.000 members of the party haven't backed him.

Of course he didn't have the numbers.

He claimed he did have the numbers (102 of them), but as he is a compulsive liar that just proves he didn't.

Maybe now he is back from his third flash holiday since being deposed, he can get on with doing MP stuff for his constituents - at least until the Standards Committee find him guilty of lying to Parliament and suspend him.
