Flint and all the physical players were responsible for us being in a relegation battle, one that was only easier because of points deductions and real crap at the foot of the table. You want the players that took us into a relegation battle to still be with us because they're physical, rather than footballers. That's your game. You're really going to hate football in 10 years time.

We need a fresh couple of faces in the middle to help out rails as he's under too much pressure and error prone

What can we do with the players we have ? Not much really

It's a bit like putting a finger in a dyke

    Eventually it's going to leak
How many Championship sides need a physical edge? How do we compare?

Flint and players like him were not responsible for us being in a relegation battle it was the hangers on

The lower down the table the more you need it

On a wet cold Tuesday night up north you don't want a Jason bowen type player involved in a relegation midfield battle

    That's not the point

He was a solid , reliable and dependable player when he was here

And we need players like him now

No he wasn't. He was crap at the back. Scored a few goals. He wasn't anywhere near as good as the likes of Morrison, Manga, Bamba etc.

That's why we struggled at the back when he played.

Simple question - would you rather City give up its current style of football, passing it about, favouring a physical, long ball battle, permanently?

Sludge, you used to be a great poster. Now you've got too many agendas. Get off the bus. It's not worth it.

He certainly wasn't crap and he's the leader we don't have now

He was shite apart from set pieces and has been dropped by Stoke once the new manager took over.

That trio was brilliant when they were in their prime. Always thought Manga was under appreciated and underrated too.

You will be remembered for your draconian appraisal of our squad

Well thank god we have everything covered now with the football you wanted brought in

We don't have the players, as you've said, to do it well enough. They certainly couldn't change to a different, more powerful game as that's not what they are capable of.

It's not the style of football that's the problem. It's not having enough talent, particularly up front.

He was hoping to get lucky. Generally when you're hoping to get lucky, it doesn't happen. Ask Sludge.

He still hasn't answered the question of who apart from Flint he would keep from last year but why add substance to your rant - a feature of a few people on this board in my humble opinion

The only one we could have signed from last season was Smithies, but if he was happy to draw his salary and be used as a back up at Leicester then that's his decision , other than him and Ralls the rest were a total waste of space.
Morrison was out injured and no one realistically knew if he would make a return, so can't be included
