Same as Tommy Hucthison , the Scottish fella who played for the jacks till he was 90

When he stopped playing he got a job as a schools coach in South Wales

Lovely guy to chat to , even in his later years at Swansea he had so much time on the ball and never panicked . I told him that and he put out his hand and said thank you son 

And with that he was back on the field coaching the kids

Imagine that ......having incredible natural talent , getting paid for playing the game then teaching kids to do the same , giving them confidence and mentoring them

I was in a wine bar, somewhere between Sam's bar and the Duke of Wellington pub.
It was packed, with everyone shoehorned inside.

I was stood with my back to a group of about 6-7. They seemed in good spirits, however, one of them was a little unsteady on his feet (I would say 'tipsy' but not drunk). He inadvertently bumped me a few times, but I don't think he was aware he was doing so.

I looked behind each time, but I really wasn't pissed off about it, but you just automatically look, right?
Anyway, one of them breaks away from their group and apologises to me - it was Jonathan Davies.
He had that trademark smile on his face and was such a gentleman.

I got to know him quite well when BT hosted question and answer sessions at Stadium House for invited guests during the 1999 Rugby World Cup. As I was a BT Facilities Manager in Stadium House at the time, I got involved in the preparation for these events and Jonathan Davies was our main contact. As you said, he was a gentleman and very down to earth. Loved talking about his golf but the free beer on offer was definitely not to his liking.
