selective editing of data, akin to the Daily Mail. Why can't we see the average of the USA on its own, or Canada etc etc...why do they have to be lumped together?

I'm not disagreeing with the message BTW, I just dislike the disingenuous presentation of the data.

I think they’ve grouped similar performing countries for clarity as otherwise the graphs get a bit messy, don’t think they are having to massage the figures here, we really are performing worse than our closest rivals

Adversarial political systems and parties are not the way forward. Regular citizens (scrap the subjects bollox) should have more direct involvement and political parties should unite around the serious issues of the environment and healthcare. It will happen one day....because it has to. People will only take so much until something snaps.

I think part of the problem is how we measure standards of living. We really do need a new way of trading and sharing resources. Local community schemes and local people caring for each other and their communities will help enormously.

I know I'm chucking a whole load of things in here but I haven't posted on anything political for a while so I'm a bit punch drunk!

Or to jump into bed with the right wing gay hating DUP of northern Ireland to ensure they had a majority ......found the cash for that

Isn’t everyone enjoying the ‘sunlit uplands’ and the continuing ‘levelling up’ of the UK?

    I think it’s been idyllic.

These are damning. The usual suspects will come out soon to tell us they're irrelevant or 'wot bout corbyn'

Talking of which, I wonder where James Wales has gone?

    Those figures are shocking.

I hope the Tories get a complete kicking at the next General election

I think if labour had a decent leader that would be worth betting on

But in my opinion he's hopeless

In addition to this people have short memories . A lot of people saying they will not vote Tory to the opinion poll chaps will bottle it

It happened with kinnock and John Major and it wouldn't surprise me at all if it happened again

I think if after all their nonsense the Tories are elected again masses of people are going to leave the country because if Labour doesn't win the next election even with starmer there is no hope and the end is near

Forget the polls. Im sure Labour will win but even today an obvious Tory boy who claims not to be a Tory boy has got wound up about a remark about Tories on another thread

Even Tories are embarrassed to be Tories. 🤣🤣🤣

But they will still vote for them.

    It wont be enough though.
