To be fair to her, apparently her Dad is from Salford and she’s an advocate of anti-semitism.

She's a massive football fan and rightly called out Corbyn for allowing anti semitism to flourish within his party at the time.

That anyone would consider such behaviour 'far right' is both in extremely ironic and demonstrates how far the deep behind that man and his teachings goes.

She called Corbyn antisemitic which he his isn't .
She wore that t-shirt with his image on to smear him.
She was definitely part of a right wing smear campaign.
Big tits and good at the maths round on countdown gave her a platform.

Be careful what I say in case she sues me, but not as nice as she pretends to be. That smear did Corbyn a lot of harm. I tend to agree there was a right wing campaign against him.

I enjoyed her campaign highlighting Boris Johnson's Islamophobia, homophobia and misogyny.

85% of British Jews considered him antisemitic

I think I will believe them thanks

Just admit Labour had an issue under Corbyn. It's not a hard thing to do. Will probably be cathartic for some of you to admit it.

40% of the British public thought he was antisemitic.

Me personally, I don't. But I think he allowed it to flourish for political reasons

I'm closer to the Labour Party than you are. Not that it makes a difference.
Corbyn was not and never has been antisemitic. However by not admitting clearly that parts of the Labour party are, gave the opportunity for the anti Corbynites out (both inside and outside the Labour party).there to bring him down.
As someone mentioned up thread mentioned Boris Johnson and the Tory Party have a free ride with their Islamophobia which, in my opinion is far worse than the antisemitism in the Labour Party.I wonder why?

Absolutely right. She was also fully in with the (mainly successful) movement to label anti Zionism and criticism of Israeli actions as antisemitic. And quite happy to denounce thousands of anti racist Jews as antisemites. She got a lot of celebrity support in the early days of the Corbyn smears, but went totally OTT. I remember Stephen Fry distancing himself from her (after being a cheerleader) when she called Noam Chomsky antisemitic.

Still James is convinced so she must be right!

I know it's heretical to accuse Corbyn of anything on here but you have to ask yourselves why did the majority of Labour MPs oppose him and why was Corbyn suspended by his own Party if he is the whiter than white character portrayed on here. Clearly the article below hasn't concluded that Corbyn was blameless.

I recall when the Labour Part produced a report on anti semitism (sorry can't spell her name but got her an honour as a result) Juliet Berger was subjected to such racial abuse by those present she had to leave the meeting.

Corbyn is anti Zionist and NOT anti Jewish (I hate the term anti Semitic and will not use it unless we mean anti Arabic, anti Berber and a few other ethnicities too).

Unfortunately the difference of being Anti Zionist to Anti Jewish escapes most people.

The report was by Shami Chaktabarti and she didn’t get ‘rewarded’ for it. She was already a highly respected lawyer and former head of Liberty who had been doing that kind of investigation and reports for decades. It was a fair and balanced report that was in line with the findings of the all party Home Affairs Select Committee on antisemitism.

I think you mean Luciana Berger not Juliet. She was abused on social media - mostly by the far right - but she was happy to imply falsely that socialists in her local party were responsible.

It was Ruth Smeeth, not Berger, who dramatically stormed out of the event that presented the Chakrabarti report. She was not subjected to any racist abuse at that event - she was accused of passing briefing notes to the Tory press (Telegraph I think) by Marc Wadsworth - a black activist who was at the back of the meeting. Smeeth later labelled that allegation as antisemitic abuse. It looked like a pre planed stunt to me. But make your own mind up - the whole event was on the news and You Tube straight away. There was no abuse.

Marc Wadsworth was subsequently expelled from Labour for bringing it into disrepute - not for any imagined antisemitism. It was all part of the smear campaign from the Labour machine, PLP and most of the media/press - backed by the likes of Rachel Riley and the Israeli Embassy.

That said there are and we’re some antisemites in Labour - less so than in most other parties and the general population - but still as Corbyn said often ‘one is too many’.

They opposed him because they never wanted him as leader in the first place, he was too left wing for them.

Of course Labour cannot be at fault for much if anything.
