'Permacrisis' Cardiff in latest state of chaos

    From the BBC Football website:

Re: 'Permacrisis' Cardiff in latest state of chaos

"Tan believed Cardiff had overspent by around £15m and suspended head of recruitment Iain Moody, before replacing him with a 23-year-old friend of Tan's son who had been painting the walls of the Cardiff City Stadium on work experience."

You've got to laugh or you'd cry.

It's mostly been shambolic. Warnock managed to somehow make himself look something of a hero during his time here, but we all know that his tenure wasn't without controversy and obviously did nothing more than paper over gaping cracks temporarily.

Tan either needs to appoint football people to run the club from board level down and remove the people he's previously appointed, or he simply needs to accept a rather large loss (unfortunately his own fault ultimately due to not having the above in place), and sell up.

Well done to those journalists putting the article together.

    The club's a laughing stock.

Reading that really brings into focus how much of a laughing stock we’ve been for a while.

I can't remember the last time we didn't have some drama going on, most of it avoidable.

It's pretty obvious to all and sundry that Tan not only knows nothing about football but that he has not learned the lesson of not employing people who do. However, are there prospective buyers really out there and, if so, would they really want to purchase the club in the immediate future and when relegation is on the cards?

If the price is right there would be interest.

No, wait until the inevitable in May. We will be a league 1 club then so maybe the humiliation of failure will force him to sell and give up.
He’s too much of a megalomaniac to let someone with knowledge run the club so he will just continue to blow millions and fail, blaming anything and everything but oneself. Someone should compile a list of all the shambolic things he has done in 11 yrs which started about the time he replaced moody with a fence painter.

We have always been a club in crisis

The Clemo years , Kumar brothers , Sam , Ridsdale

It would help if people who buy into this fake welshness would support Cardiff City instead of Liverpool or Man United

More locals supporting the team and local businessmen putting money into the club would be a start

Chemo had a lot of stick who else has been there ?

Sam Hammam took fans on walks

These fans then had ice cream with him

Which were paid for by the fans

We have always been run by nutters

In reality 95% of fans couldn’t give a fig about City.

As stated in another post - A Sory State of Affairs.

Most of us have known this for ages but nice to see it getting wider coverage. Missed out a fair bit too.

He also condoned football violence which led to people writing books about it ffs and he held the club to ransom for money he didn't put in - the guys a scumbag in my humble opinion

You really must have had your head in the sand if haven't been taking in what's been going on...problem is any time someone pointed it out they got shot down for being negative. Cardiff City FC has been run by amateurs for years that don't have a clue what they are doing.

Was he worse than VT ?

    Probably

    Yes, hands down.

He "loaned" the club tens of millions under the guise of "Langstone", while charging around 30% interest on said loans, and denying any involvement with Langstone.

We now know he was running Langstone.

Let's never forget what that shifty little shark was trying to do whilst taking people on walks with ice-creams...

Re: 'Permacrisis' Cardiff in latest state of chaos

BBC football clearly just need to get down the stadium and support the team rather than writing critical articles about our dear leader who single handedly saved the club and hasn’t made a wrong decision in his time here.

Re: 'Permacrisis' Cardiff in latest state of chaos

The transfer committee has made bigger transfer gaffs and wasted much more money when compared to Malky and Moody.

Maybe if we are relegated the silver lining will be that Tan will finally give up the ghost and sell up at a discount.

Or get someone to run the club who has a clue how to do so, in 11 years this hasn’t been possible so it doesn’t give one much hope.
Who’d have thought Hammam would actually have left us in a better state than Tan

He was mad as fck plainly.

The one thing he had over Tan was his involvement with "the fans". If Tan and his droogs interacted with the fans and paid attention to them instead of riding rough-shod over them, I think the club would probably be in a better situation.

Had he listened to the fans there wouldn't have been a re-brand and the club would have qualified people behind the scenes.

Tan and Sam are both inept in their own special ways.
