Thread: Relegation is from Bristol City Down ......

Relegation is from Bristol City Down ......

They have 33 points , there is then a 4 point jump

If we and indeed the others in the death rattle at the bottom are to stay up its the wurzels who should be our scale

A win on Saturday and positive results around us could bring us right up back in the mix

That we are actually going to go out and start winning games is the rub

A defeat Saturday and we could plunge into the sea of death

    It's all great fun

As I see it presently we're probably favourites for relegation. Getting well and truly thumped 2 or 3 weeks and then sneaking a win is probably par for a relegation side. We're different. We can't hit the side of a barn door. I can't remember when the opposition keeper had to pull off a save. Get that right, we stay up, but the whole team act like clowns in big shoes when confronted with a chance. How a manager addresses that is anyone's guess..

In fact, Wigan, Huddersfield, Blackpool and Rotherham are the favourites for relegation. City are fifth in the betting at 7/4.

Looking at all the clubs fixtures we can do it .
Think we have a decent manager .

Unlucky to not get a draw Tuesday .

    C'mon let's support the boys ..

reading could get sucked in, they had a very good start, but since October they've been as crap as the rest of us.

probably don't need much to keep clear of trouble, but you never know

I hate to say but I agree, we look like a shambles on and off the pitch and as a neutral you'd back us to go down all day long.

We need a massive new manager bounce and some confidence back. I've got everything crossed for this.

according to this - it's very tight

The leagues so tight plenty of teams can be dragged into it, but I don’t like that we’re so short in some areas (full back for example) and young players like Colwill, Davies and Bagan, who all weighed in with goals, assists etc. have made no sort of contribution this time, but, of course, we’re down unless we start scoring soon.

I also think we’ve got a tough run in.

What teams, with our shocking run of form , have managed to turn things round at this stage ?

Plenty of games left to grab a couple of wins to pull us up

But we are completely crap and look unable to score

    Maybe the stattos can help

We need that win .....then another very quickly

I can't see the first , never mind two

I can’t see the goal scoring improving significantly, so if we are to stay up we’ll need a good few 1-0 wins and 0-0 draws

Let’s give the new manager and striker time before jumping off that cliff of despair.

The fans can and will have a big say in this I'm sure.

Let's at least be able to say we've done our bit even if the players and board ultimately can't.

I reckon 50 points will see us safe so we need another 13 points.
Pretty confident we will reach that as we are decent at home this season and still have Wigan, Blackpool, Rotherham and Birmingham to come to our place. We are a limited side though so you never know.

    .
I wish we did only need 13 points! How did you figure that one out? 51-29 = 21. We need 21 points to hit 50.
In reality, we might get away with a bit less than that.

Is this some kind of parody account?

It’s just the 13 years I’ve been posting on this board or it’s predecessor

Re: Relegation is from Bristol City Down ......

Looking at the remaining fixtures, I think we can write off the following games:-

Burnley, Sheffield United, Watford & Norwich away plus Bristol City & Swansea at home (as we don't turn up)

This leaves us needing at least 6 wins from the rest !

I can't see any way we can survive and I expect Wigan and one from Blackpool, Huddersfield, Birmingham or Rotherham to join us.

Rotherham have confirmed that Morrison's out for the season (think this was rumoured a couple of days ago) https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/64505552

That’s his career coming to an end. Once the injuries start to rack up it’s only a matter of time

Looks like Caulker's leaving Wigan already.
