    Never knew that how sad.
Hopefully the govt will start releasing some of the £50m they promised for research on the back of the campaigning following Doddie Wiers and Rob Burrows diagnosis.
I also noticed the latest donation was from ex-pro Julian Alsop.

So sorry to read this. Loved Bowen when we went up under Mad Frankie in season 98/99

Was in college with jason and played against him many times in my youth as well as representing Wales Schools. Lovely laid back man with no ego, when he could have had one due to his footballing ability. Good luck to him and all of his family. Hope the footballing community come together and offer the support needed. He's a good guy.

    Thats sad.

All the best to him. A really gifted footballer enjoyed watching him play.

Really sad news, Jason Bowen showed his well above average skill in the first team, but it was maybe more in reserve games that he stood out most - I’d never seen anything like the penalty he scored one afternoon in front of about one hundred people before or since.

Best of luck to him and his family.

Will never forget him doing the ayatollah before dropping his shoulder and beating a completely confused opponent

    God bless him

Remember that well. He was doing it as he went passed the other player. The guy then chopped him down and got a lecture from the ref.. Was arguing with the ref. that Bowen was taking the p*ss - which he was !!

    This.

My son and I bumped into him once in a supermarket in Newport when he was still with City and he was happy to chat to us about CCFC matters. Seemed a really pleasant down-to-earth chap. Tragic that he now has this dreadful disease.
