Luckily for Huddersfield they're not trying to avoid relegation from the Premier League.
Whatever your thoughts on the man, Warnock joining Huddersfield is only bad news for Cardiff. Anyone saying otherwise is lying to themselves.
But is Blackie part of the package?
The simple truth is Vincent Tan was never going to bring Warnock back here. Not a chance. No more chance than him bringing Mackay back to Cardiff. He believes Warnock tucked him up financially. Therefore, all this bleating about him in recent months has been utterly pointless.
If City get relegated it won’t be because Warnock has come out of retirement yet again to squeeze a few quid out of Huddersfield. It will be because Tan and his minions have made a hopeless mess of running this club during the last decade or so.
You could well be right, but if we go down, it wont be because Huddersfield have appointed Neil Warnock.
If we finish 22nd and they 21st, I'd certainly pin some of it on them hiring Warnock.

Agreed, we’ve been lucky that the ineptitude of the people in charge had not resulted in the league placing it should have done for years, but that’s all changed in the last couple of seasons.
For me, it’s simple - Tan’s not going to change or take on board the views of supporters, pundits and former players who have been saying the same thing about what’s wrong for years and, realistically, there’s little or no chance of him selling the club for the sort of money he’d want. So, unless he’s willing to take a big loss, we’re going down - it could well happen this season, but a club can’t be run as badly as this indefinitely and it will only be a temporary respite if we survive.
Then again, I doubt the talk amongst Wigan, Huddersfield and Blackpool fans has been " ..look, Cardiff have brought in Sabri Lamouchi, bet he keeps them up..."
We are in this mess in part due to Neil Warnock as well. Warnock, Mick, Morison and Hudson have all made monumental cock ups. I'm going to give Neil Harris the benefit of the doubt as he didn't do any long term damage.
Tan, Dalman, Choo etc have obviously contributed massively to the decline as well.
I think he listened to supporters when we were all banging on about playing the passing game

I was interested to read what Eric said in another thread - we’re far from the worst in the league for goal attempts, it’s just that we’re dreadful at putting the ball in the net. We would be where we are whatever way we played.

What games have we bottled? We've conceded late goals but that's come after constant pressure.

Well Iets hope your right as both have good form in short term survival tactics . Think Warnock went to some club in Wales kept them up, and got them promoted to Premiership with a rag tag squad.. oh and nearly survived.
Warnock was by miles the best of that bunch, three coaches, and Mick, Tan, and Dalman will get what they deserve, getting the monkey to try and drive a car to safety.
He did do that.
He also spunked 10's of millions of the owners money on players that weren't worth a wank.
He's not the Messiah that some seem to think he is.
We spent 60m or something when he was in charge, and what have we got to show for it?
We would have stayed up if Henderson had not organised that trip, it changed our season and Warnock lost his focus as he was so down about the situation, harsh to blame him for that.
The situation would have been completely different now, it's the others that have got us into the current position.
