This has been inevitable since Starmer refused to return the Labour whip to Corbyn despite his Labour Party membership suspension being overturned within weeks.

It is all part of the continuing purge of socialists and anti-apartheid campaigners.

It is all part of the authoritarian and centralising agenda that has disenfranchised most CLPs

Members of Starmer's inner circle were telling the media that Corbyn would not stand for Labour again at least 6 months ago - to no-one's surprise except allegedly Corbyn (who maintained illusions that there would be a democratic not dictatorial process). Most Corbyn supporters were more plugged into the reality of Starmer's Labour.

If Corbyn were to stand as Independent Labour I think he would likely win his seat. I doubt he will.
