I find the whole think quite humorous to be honest. We had "Tommy Robinson" claiming he wasn't being allowed freedom of speech when he was stirring up racial hatred. Donald Trump used to complain that he wasn't allowed freedom of speech. There are several right-wing social media sites set up to promote freedom of speech. Over the last decade or so there has definitely been a battle between the political right and so-called snowflakes, in terms of being allowed to say what you like regardless of who it offends. No political side of the left-right scale has chirped more about freedom of speech than the political right, especially the far right.

Then along comes a TV presenter who, using freedom of speech, has made several strong criticisms about our right wing government culminating in a certain tweet posted last week. The result has been that it has turned the freedom-of-speech-loving right wingers into a frenzy, saying this presenter shouldn't have been posting such things. Freedom of speech for some, not all. All of a sudden, the snowflakes are on the right.

    You couldn't make it up.

look at the VAR, freedom of speech appears to be playing him onside , but there is clearly a touch from the bbc charter.
