Inflation is down from 10.4 to 10.1, but I woke up to confident forecasts on the radio that it would be at less than ten per cent when the new figure was announced. Pasta has doubled in price in two years, olive oil up 49 per cent in a year, milk 34 per cent, sugar nearly 30 per cent, ready meals twenty odd per cent, the list goes on.

The supermarkets did the same over the top inflation add on after the recession , they never really came back down ,same after Covid and now its energy crisis ,its an easy steal as its the governments fault
We are absolutely being ripped off. We have been brainwashed into accepting the notion that prices are inevitably having to go up and as time progresses we will no longer question it.

But the piss staking about the price of coats had nothing to do with the rate of food price rises and everything to do with hysterical fabrication or exaggeration from the usual tin foil suspects. Pure bollux. Called out at every relevant opportunity. As it should be!
