Sky's trend for 8pm kick offs

The opportunity to receive betting advertising revenue is clearly the true reason for Sky's 8pm start I'm sure, but I for one prefer an 8 pm start to 7:45. I like staggered match starting times...more football to watch.

Perhaps you should take a look at the queues of grown up adults at the City stadium every home match placing bets on the football and enjoying themselves doing so. It is their choice to do so and if they do so responsibly then there is no problem. It has always and will continue to happen, tv advertising or not.

Exactly that is up to them, but I do object to advertising making it look fun and cool for teenagers, it has been shown to have increased gambling addiction, as has tombola bingo-type advertising increased the number of women-addicted gamblers.

When I was young, I can't remember seeing fancy ads for football betting.
