FT: Reading 1 - 1 Wigan. Cardiff are staying up

Scores so far are affecting Play Off places - Sunderland losing to Watford, Coventry 1 Birmingham 0 and the jacks a goal down at Hull.

In League One, Ipswich, needing a win to go up, lead Exeter 2-0.

Brighton 2 Wolves 0 in the Premier League after Palace beat West Ham 4-3 at lunchtime.

    Re: Today’s games.

Brighton and Ipswich now 3-0 up.

Nathan Broadhead has just scored to make it 4-0 for Ipswich.

    Re: Today’s games.

5-0 Ipswich after half an hour, going up in style

    Re: Today’s games.

    Brighton four up now.

Burnley and Sheffield United winning, the latter being bad news for Preston’s play off hopes.

    Re: Today’s games.

Plymouth taken the lead to return to the top of the table. Both they and Ipswich could end up with over 100 points whilst Wednesday could get 96 and not go up

Barnsley could finish 4th on 91!

Time to start planning holidays around Ipswich and Plymouth fixtures. So long as they aren't in December/January. A trip to Devon in August sounds rather appealing. Might take a trip down Union Street in Plymouth to see where the ancestors came from.

Should have posted on this thread....

Watching the Reading v Wigan game...

So....Reading 0 Wigan 0 at half time. We are 45 minutes from mathematical safety.
Wigan coming back in the game...no clear cut chances either side. Wigan keeper look decent and decisive....

Coventry 2-0 up now and an equaliser for the jacks.

    Re: Today’s games.

Problem with the Reading v. Wigan match is Wigan have to win, which leaves them open to a counter-attack sucker punch.

    Re: Today’s games.

6-0 now Ipswich, ex-City academy boy Wes Burns with the 6th

    Re: Today’s games.

Sheffield Wednesday 2-0 up at Shrewsbury, but it looks like the Play Offs for them now.

    Brighton 5 Wolves 0.

Equaliser for Preston at Sheffield United.

    Re: Today’s games.

Rochdale, relegated last week, beating Sutton 4-1,

Can’t see Reading and Wigan finishing 0-0.

Nor me.....very enjoyable game. Reading have only scored 3 goals in last 6 home games...

Great chance then for Wigan, Reading seem to be getting edgy. Back & forth, this one.

You see it so often, a team go down and then start winning, I can only assume it’s the pressure being relieved.
