If that is likely to happen this week it makes the Luthra to Slough loan (up to January with Luthra continuing to train at Cardiff) more sensible. A semi-detached third choice keeper for a few months getting games, but still part of the squad.

it might also be a case that clubs will only loan to us after they've explored all the other avenues that might lead to getting a transfer fee.

No, but there are injuries and suspensions to take into consideration. For instance. Bowler was missing on Saturday, so only three loan players were in the matchday squad.
