Can you explain this in football terms? What does World Group mean?

The World Championship (Group) are the 16 top nations in the world, USA, Canada, Russia, Scandinavian countries etc. The bottom 2 get relegated to Division 1.

GB were promoted in 2021, relegated in 2022 and now promoted as champions in 2023. They were relegated alongside Italy who were favourites for Promotion but they lost to Poland who are promoted alongside GB

In simple terms GB just did a Burnley and they’ll be in the Premier League next year.

2 divisions of 8. Top two in each division go to the semi final. 2 Sides with worst record get relegated.
