Wickham? Really. On what? He's had one good game and that aside he's been ineffective.
If it wasn't for our players on loan and Reading's points deduction we would have been relegated. With no money to spend and our transfer ban we must be certainties for relegation next season.
In fairness Tan is keeping the club afloat and I hope that the fact he's jetting in doesn't signal that he is stepping even further back from the club as we cannot expect him to further put his hands in his pocket when the payback is a fair amount of abuse. Of course the club is in as much a perilous position - probably more - than it was when he first arrived but the game has changed markedly since then. We have to be realistic and all the talk on here about loan signings we can't afford is as much a way off the mark as is the talk of reaching the playoffs next season.
Just watching a couple of videos of City v Burnley and Norwich circa 2009, 2010. It's another world in football terms. We've declined bit by bit until we're hanging in the Championship by the good luck of other's misfortune, and there actually being a couple of teams worse than us.
I've no idea what Vincent Tan expects next season, though from 5000 miles away he probably doesn't get as realistic a picture from those of us sat 50ft away each home game.
We now Choo is part time/ remote worker , Dalman is very rarely at the club that Im aware of.
So is the day to day person running the sh1t show on a daily basis ?
Does the manager, Choo, Dalman and Tan ever speak ? - the impression I get is that we are an amateur business being run by amateurs and given the state of affairs at the club is that the wrong assumption ?
Goals scored
Before Lamouchi - 21 in 28 games (0.75 per game, ranked 24th)
Under Lamouchi - 20 in 17 games (1.18 per game, ranked 10th)
Goals conceded
Before Lamouchi - 31 in 28 games (1.11 per game, ranked 7th)
Under Lamouchi - 24 in 17 games (1.41 per game, ranked 17th)
hopefully tan gives him a kick up the backside and tells him to stop playing HOOFBALL
then he can take it or leave it -mic drop-
So if they hadn't scored goals this season and not let the opposition score this season, they would be certainties for relegation next season?
If they hadn't scored goals this season and not let the opposition score this season, they'd have scored 0 and conceded 0 goals, they'd be on 45 points now, 46 if the trend continued to the end of the season. That means a chance they'd be relegated this season if Reading win. It says nothing about next season.
Having scored goals and letting the opposition score, by contrast, they'd won the title and promoted, appearing to be certainties to be relegated from the Prem.
