Thread: Great day’s football.

  1. #1

    Great day’s football.

Currently Rangers lead Celtic 2-0 (Rabbi Matondo started for Rangers), Leeds 1-1 against Newcastle, Bamford missed a penalty when Leeds were a goal up.

Bolton v Barnsley kicks off at 3, Notts County v Chesterfield for a place in the EFL starts at 3.30, Luton v Sunderland at 5.30 and Salford v Stockport at 7.45.

There’s also five 3 o clock kick offs in the Premier League.

Terrible penalty by Bamford. That could prove to be a huge moment in their season.

There’s barely 30 seconds of action these days without a player going to ground .

...one of the reasons I am watching more and more lower league/non league - there is more of an 'honestness' there overall.
Shall be watching the National League play off final....Would like Notts County to make it...but I also have a soft spot for Chesterfield.

Spurs have conceded early on away from home so nothing new there. What is new is Forest going ahead away from home unfortunately- can’t believe I’m actually wanting Chelsea to win a game.

Unusual start National Leaue...keeper kicking the ball twice in his area from goal kick....free kick cleared...

Has the Notts County keeper lost it. Most bonkers opening by a keeper ive ever seen. Completely lost it.

Great start by the Notts County keeper - he took a goal kick to himself to give Chesterfield an indirect free kick about ten yards out, then he gave away a clear penalty which they fell 1-0 down from, all within the opening six minutes!

..and now a penalty to Chesterfield.....1-0......keeper lucky not to see red.

Yeah. Ive never seen anything like the goal kick but if he didnt take the 2nd touch its a goal. Then no booking for the penalty.

Southampton 0 Fulham 1 - looks like this is the day when the Saints finally go down.

    Equaliser for Chelsea against Forest.

Notts County surprisingly have no cutting edge in the final third.

Chesterfield have actually got into some good positions and with better quality could have added to their lead.

Exactly, they could end up regretting not making better use of their opportunities, but, up to now, it’s looking like a game too far for Notts County.

Bolton 0 Barnsley 1 in the Play Offs.

    Chelsea and Forest now 2-2.

    Palace 2 Bournemouth 0.

Fulham now 2-0 up at Southampton.

    Villa 2 Spurs 0.

Notts County are traditionally a second half team.....really good game.
