In the last 50 years has there ever been a true left wing Govt ? , a couple of years of Harold Wilson perhaps. The Conservative offering in terms of how things are articulated seems (marginally better) than someone like Butler / Rayner and co. Or that mad goon that defeated Clegg.
But maybe that is down to better media training, being well briefed on the job etc. Stephen Kinnock is someone on that level that communicates well - but as far as I know his career so far has been - worked for his Dad, stood as an MEP, stood as an MP. Dont believe he has ever had a job outside politics - which is something that should rule out all MPs before being allowed to stand

According to the sane, sensible, thoughtful, clever (only joking!) Andrea Jenkyns MP (Conservative Party - Right Wing Nutter Faction) voters at the local elections were not frightened by Labour as they had been in 2019 (!) because they already have a socialist government - one led by Rishi Sunak. Once upon a time words had meaning, but the latest invention of Newspeak has changed that.
I can see her logic and her workings out, even if I don't totally agree with her conclusion; one or the criticisms of Corbyn, fair or otherwise, was that he would spend recklessly, borrow huge amounts and spend it on welfare. The last three years has seen enormous borrowing that has almost entirely gone on welfare (to combat Covid and then rising bills due to Ukraine). So I can see the argument that there is less fear of that, given that we have essentially done that.
I like Burnham and he's not afraid to try new things. His recent policy regarding the Manchester Baccalaureate to help improve education results is an example where he accepts the current system is failing, and rather than doing the same thing over and over with the same results, you do something different.
