Ron was well 'ard, some say. But actually, he struggled to maintain full boners allegedly. Not that I have researched this facet deeply on the internet or anything, nor sounded out the opinions of well-informed top grade totty targets that he used to administer a good bollocking to every so often. Which makes you wonder about a deeply serious question - how big was the fella exactly in his full joy and glory? And how accurate were those measurements if he was not always at full power? Something to mull on.
Not in the same class as John Holmes though. Oh no! "King Dong" was a proper man in the room. A real boy and a half. What a legend. Two anecdotes I liked about John Holmes top class career were the two big questions asked of his weapon by interviewers:
1. "John - why were you insured for 12 million dollars?"
Answer: Not sure. Perhaps it was a million for every inch.

Answer: I can't be too precise. Bigger than a cellphone but smaller than a cadillac.

It is worth noting that I never knew who John Holmes was until my uncle drove from Cardiff up to a Hereford away game. Around 1987 or perhaps 1988. I was about 13/14. It came out on the news that he had died and my uncle stopped the car for a minute's silence for John Holmes. As my uncle was outside on the hard shoulder paying his respects I asked my father who he was. My dad said "King Dong - a big cock film star". I said "Oh yeah the lads in school talk about King Dong". Dad said "I thought they might. Bloody legend." He certainly was. RIP, Big John.
