    Re: Ramsey coming back?

Ramsey is one of the greatest ex-City players of all time. Even the short term loan 12 seasons ago he looked class. He's been incredible for Wales.

He's still an international quality player but I'm not sure I'd want him here. The sight of a frustrated Rambo playing in a shit side as we battle against relegation doesn't inspire me. Would he make much of a difference with the crap around him?

We're also shopping in a pretty limited market of frees and loans.

Id rather a half fit Ramsey than ****ing Sheyi Ojo every week.
    He’s only 32 isn’t he?

Maybe Ramsey is excited to come and learn from our new manager

    Yes without doubt.

I've no doubt the club's support would be pleased and if he was joined by a few other substantial signings it may bring about an upsurge in season ticket sales, but I think almost almost everyone who was going to buy a season ticket has already done so.
It would cause a lot of excitement and crowds would be larger. He’s one of the best Welsh players of all time.

With the constraints we have, if true, it’s a no-brainer

Can’t be bothered with weeks of rumours though after last summer

I wont believe it until Roath Boy announces it.

Not often you see the word "optimism" and TLG in the same message.

    It ticks every box

he can stay home, play for his home club, close to the Welsh setup to help him get his 100 caps, he is free ( so works for us )

Come on Rambo, its time to come home

out of contract as only signed a 1 year deal with Nice, so ticks that box of no fee's

edit, he did have the option for a 2nd year by the looks of it

This all seems vaguely familiar. Almost like déjà vu.

    Re: Ramsey coming back?

I think we can all agree he’s a Cardiff and wales legend, better than what we have.

Would he come to a team likely to be full of shit players, being run into the ground, under a transfer embargo? Would he want to be part of a team that has a strong chance of relegating his home club?

It’s debatable whether it’d work, no doubt his best days are behind him and I’d imagine an expensive wage to be in the treatment room. When he’s on the pitch he’ll be getting frustrated by teammates that can’t pass the ball

I'll only believe its not happening if TOBW writes an article about him returning to the club

I think him getting extremely arsey on Twitter about the grief he was getting was the only positive about the Bale saga. Very funny.

Was it 12 years ago? Time flies when you are getting old.
He will inspire the shit players around him, they will improve and we'll just miss out on the play offs

    Rambo alone = 1k extra

Rambo plus another two signings of his calibre = 10k maybe

It's about the hype. Lots of local faith-weather football fans will come if they think they're going to watch decent football.

Who on earth is there of Rambo’s calibre that would actually sign for Cardiff? Ramsey at least has a connection to the club

    Re: Ramsey coming back?

I have an irrational love for the man. I’d take him back with wide open arms even if it’s for 6 sub appearances and 6 months on the injury table.

Ramsey plus dragging Ozil back off his sick bed, they’d make a great midfield pairing, they could keep each other company in rehab all season.
