Amongst all the back and forth, Johnson tends to unite, probably for different reasons but I'd like to see him behind bars

Re: Boris Johnson's resignation 'honours' list

Nadine Dorries used to work for the NHS as a nurse

I am amazed someone who must have initially had some heart and caring feelings ends up joining the tory party ?

And then exhibits right wing feelings on every subject known to man

I have always found it bewildering that some doctors and nurses end up being raving right wing goose steppers

Surely they have always been this way but covered it up till they became MPs ?

Because anyone working in the NHS since 1979 under the conservatives would deffo know what a bunch of shitehawks they are ?

The six form prankster has lied continuously since the beginning of time

Remember this big whopper, which does really make you wonder what he was being told to say. The nurses who treated him mysteriously disappeared back to NZ.

I guess the gist of your "big whopper" is that Johnson's covid was massively over-exaggerated to con the public into lockdowns with fellow conspirators in the NHS who mysteriously disappeared back to New Zealand.

I guess the real brilliance of Johnson was that once he imposed future "unnecessary" lockdowns he could then flaunt them, get caught, lie to Parliament about them, get chucked out of office by his own party and finally have to resign as an MP before the report confirming his sins was published. Quite stunning stuff!

Meanwhile one of the nurses, New Zealand born Jenny Mcgee so mysteriously disappeared back to New Zealand that she appeared in a Channel 4 documentary when she resigned more than a year later, criticising the disrespectful 1% pay offer and Johnson's handling of the pandemic.

The other nurse singled out for praise, that well known Kiwi Luis Carlos Rodrigues de Oliveira Pitarma (ok he's Portuguese) even more mysteriously still works at the hospital where Johnson was treated.

    https://uk.linkedin.com/in/luis-pitarma-2772446a

Last year when receiving an award from the Portuguese government he completely laid into Johnson for his Party Gate behaviour.

Perhaps you should have stuck to a bit of innuendo rather than smearing a couple of decent people, either that or done a bit of research in the first place.

Re: Boris Johnson's resignation 'honours' list

There must be stacks of Tory MPs down the years who fancied themselves as the next Winston Churchill or Margaret Thatcher - the current Prime Minister's two predecessors being a couple of examples. I can remember Churchill's funeral as a kid, but cannot recall anything about him before that, so, like most of us, I have to go by his reputation and what I read and hear about him - Thatcher on the other hand, I can remember all the way back to when she was known as the "milk snatcher" in the early seventies for stopping the free half pint bottle of milk all schoolchildren got every day. when she was Education Minister.

I could see Churchill possibly getting into a position where he was faced with the sort of enquiry Boris Johnson went through in March, but not Thatcher. However, history and Churchill's reputation tells me that he would have fought his corner, faced the MPs vote and then fought the by election if he'd been found guilty of misleading Parliament - I'm sure Thatcher would as well. On the other hand, Boris Johnson has decided to hide in the fridge again - thanks to Jon59 for the reminder of that in another thread .

Bewilderingly, there are those in the Tory party and in the public at large who truly believe that Johnson deserves to be up there with Churchill and Thatcher as a party great. It reminds me of Donald Trump's surprisingly perceptive remark that he could shoot someone in Fifth Avenue in broad daylight and still be able to rely in his core support. It was a mixture of funny and pathetic seeing Johnson supporters going along in blaming every one else but him for what had happened - the fact that the seven person Standards Committee contained four Conservatives with two of them being staunch Brexiteers doesn't alter the fact that it's all a Remainer/establishment plot against an innocent man

Sadly, I don't think we've seen the last of Johnson, the man who is too scared to fight a by election in Uxbridge and South Ruislip has moved to Henley on Thames and is likely to stand in that rock solid Tory seat in the coming General election - to steal from Kevin Keegan, I would really luv it if Johnson came a cropper there and lost to the Lib Dems, I wouldn't totally rule it out either.

Ha ha you think just because they have a linked in page and some press releases you think the nurses exist do you ,wow.

Funny how they couldn’t be traced on the NHS employees list at the time. The fact that they have fact checked it shows they were concerned the truth would get out

    https://www.reuters.com/article/uk-f...-idUSKBN2222UT

I suppose you also think he was as seriously ill as was made out do you ?

He’s a complete liar and was following orders to scare people. Some could see through it, and they are entitled to air their opinions if that’s ok with you MATE

Out of interest perhaps you could find a link the average age of people who died of just Covid, I’m sure someone posted on here it was 82.

So in this latest flight of fancy, sorry opinion, the "nurses" don't exist but were part of a scam by Johnson and the hospital trust to overplay his condition. The Trust even had to thank one of these imaginary nurses on its website as part of the deal.

    https://www.guysandstthomas.nhs.uk/n...xtremely-proud

Reuters and Full Fact were also part of the scam and put out false fact checks about some FaceBook viral post suggesting they weren't real nurses.

    https://fullfact.org/online/nurses-b...t-coronavirus/

They also managed to hoodwink the Nursing Times, Channel 4, Daily Mirror and the Portuguese Government to their true identities.

When you get around to seeking medical help don't forget to pass on your opinion to the clinical staff.

Johnson is a cheating lying manipulative twat. That doesn't make him part of your imaginary lockdown conspiracy hoax!

You failed to answer the question I asked , and for clarification I don’t think it was a hoax, never have done but it was over played , that was obvious from the start , and he did overplay his illness, ( he was on deaths door ) so much so that a few weeks later he was having these parties, all under the nose of his bodyguards, personal protection officials, advisers etc.

If he was as a poorly as he was implying I doubt very much these parties would have taken place, unless you think otherwise.

As an aside , what’s my medical position got to do with this post , it’s irrelevant.

Well spotted, I was too busy taking the piss out of your ludicrous opinion on the conspiracy between central government, hospital trusts, imaginary nurses and multiple media outlets as you seek to hijack yet another thread with preposterous fixations on all things covid.

Re: Boris Johnson's resignation 'honours' list

These honours are given out by a PM as recognition and reward for thier ( personnel) loyalty and support to him , been so for decades .

Now we may not like some that's however thsat is ones personal taste or view .

Blair threatened to break the House Lords , then stepped back from his election headline over a 14 year period in office he did fiddled with it, and then created his own 203 life peers, think they are known as "Tony's Cronies".

Can't wait to see Dame Raynor sitting with Sir (sold out ) socialist .

Nothing imaginary, just opinions ,which you happen to disagree with, and of course you think your opinion is always the correct one.

So, what been established in a simplified way is :-

I think he exaggerated his illness , and you don’t, even though I’ve given you reasons as to why I think he did which you have ignored yet again.

    from bbc website:

Last night, Priti Patel tweeted her support for Boris Johnson after he resigned.
The former home secretary said Johnson "served our country and his constituency with distinction".
"Boris is a political titan whose legacy will stand the test of time."

Patel was made a dame commander in Johnson's resignation honours list.
