You obviously do not know the area well enough to comment on this problem, so it’s best you stop embarrassing yourself

I know it very well indeed. Yes leave by a different exit?! what's wrong with that? in your suggestion they would be leaving by a different exit as well? You're just scraping the barrel now trying to think of reasons not to like this idea. Anyone driving a large lorry down fishguard road today would probably just follow the road round and leave again on ty glas road whether the cut through to the crystals was blocked or not.

The environment, if you can only travel on one road, then traffic would build up and stop, and exhaust emissions would be harmful to the poor people on that one busy street.

Open every road and let people, drive, cycle, walk ride on a horse where they like, if you don't want traffic going past your house buy a house in a cul-de-sac, even then if someone wants to drive into your cul-de-sac let them.

Bluetit is right it's a stupid decision, and where will it end, if it's a quicker route for some then let them use it, it will make the busier roads quieter.

The different exit is about 200m away from the first one. It's not like he's coming out in Thornhill or something.

No it's not, but it's the automatic charge of £70 that's the significance of this. Easy to make a simple mistake, so many small signs everywhere. It's a money-making exercise and will be extended throughout the City and Wales. Khan has coined a quarter of a billion pounds last year from decent hard-working folk via his ULEZ scheme.

You're going to be a bit conflicted when you find out ULEZ was Boris Johnson's idea and work.

You've got a point. Let's get as many cars out onto as many roads as possible with no management of traffic at all. Let's all not be able to drive anywhere because of the amount of traffic. Let's not protect pedestrians and others who use the road as the car is king.

Read it dopey it will just increase the exhaust fumes if roads are closed and cause more families on the busier streets to breathe in fumes and become asthmatic.

It's happening because some people there don't want traffic in their street, they want to pass it on to busier streets around them.

It's not to protect pedestrians, the road is full of speed bumps, which will also make exhaust fumes increase as they slow and accelerate away again.

Yes, it was his idea. It was meant to be the area where the congestion charge is now, but Khan introduced it in 2019 and extended it afterwards.

If North Cardiff Blue thought he was Fisherman of the Year for his Ebou Adams' posts you must Chief Brody even after telling the shark you were coming to get him!

Nothing wrong per se with road closures, trying to redirect traffic or creating one way systems etc. Nothing new in that.

What I don't like, and in my opinion, we should all query, is the need for cameras, fines, number plate recognition and all the rest. Just close the road if it's a rat-run. That's pretty normal, loads of side roads are closed off.

It just feels like a cash cow.

Of course, it is like hiding the speed camera van by Whitchurch common catching loads of people driving at 26mph, which most cars used to drive along there at about 40mph years ago.

They'll be everywhere soon, along with further road closures and congestion charges, they are trying to ban the car for the poor, by pricing them out.

It will end up have you got a £50K electric car, no OK extra car tax for you £1500 a year and congestion fee to drive anywhere.

The handy alternative route when Fidlas Rd is clogged up with road works or traffic, which can be quite often, is no more

good, it shouldn't be a handy alternative route, it's a housing estate
