So I guess we could agree an optional future fee, but we can't agree a mandatory future fee

Probably not but if they are planning on sending someone out on loan anyone they may forgo a small loan fee to potentially move them on in January.

in fairness, he's basically spending close to the maximum we are allowed to under FFP regulations. depending on how much we have managed to reduce the wage bill there might be a little more room for manoeuvre, but otherwise we would have to be very sure of promotion before we could splash some cash
