Thread: Ben Wallace.

    Ben Wallace.

Will leave the Cabinet at the next reshuffle and will not stand at the next election. Quite surprising news that, I would have thought he was a Tory who could be popular among the electorate, not just party members like most of the other leadership candidates are.

I would have thought Head of Nato or something like that. A bit like the Labour defence secretary, forget his first name something Robinson.

Foiled by the US in his pitch to become next head of NATO and facing the backlash of telling the Ukrainians they should show some gratitude for the shopping list of armaments that have been delivered…. Then reading the tea leaves on the electoral prospects of his party…. He’s off to spend more time with his raging ambitions.

He’s a loss for Sunak that’s for sure. One of the few ministers that has generally done well.

I wonder if this is his time to distance himself from the cabinet ahead of an election disaster with a view to come back and lead the party in the future?

Not sure about in History, but within my lifetime by a clear distance, from day one of Johnson and then his successors it's been a despicable effort. We've had some poor efforts, but this mob are incomparable.

Did you not live through the Blair / Brown years ? or the John Major Govt ? or even the Winter of discontent year - with unions running the country.

I'd take a look at those years before judging

Cameron , May , Johnson , The Two Clowns

The tory boys will always say what about .......etc etc

The key here is for the next government to put PR in place and then sharpen itself up

If it does the Tories will be on the fringes forever which will be great for the majority of this country that is anti Conservative

I would put something in starmers tea and get him to agree to step down as soon as possible to seal the deal 🤝

You are obsessed with PR - yet we had the vote on you lost - grow some and get on with your next w ank.
I see that Starma has now called in for assistance from the Epstein pedo associate Peter Mandelson...if Mandy is the answer - Starma is asking the wrong question.

ps - you cant just introduce PR - it has to be done through a referendum - like it was last time (and PR lost)

Yes I did, the day I started my apprenticeship, the unions were on a 3 day week and I stand by my opinion that this government is by a distance the most disgraceful that I have lived through.

The Blair years apart from his stupid and reckless spending towards the end .....which the Tories have done , many times in their history ......and the insane invasion of Iraq were times of stability and prosperity for many

I was glad when he went and it should have been earlier

Lots of tory voters did fine under Blair which makes it all the more amusing to hear them try and remind everyone how bad a prime minister he was

For me Blair brought shape and discipline to the Labour Party but failed to attack tory housing policy and let a lot of working class people down

I think by the time brown took over labour was finished really as a political party , I don't think it's been up to much since and the sooner it merges with the rest of the opposition the better

Yes and this lot are far worse than any of them, they’re the most corrupt, inept and accident prone Government of my lifetime.

But Blair isnt a Socialist Sludge - he was Tory light - and you've just said he bought shape and discipline to your Labour party. Private school educated as well...tut tut tut ... have you lost your political compass again ?

If only Corbyn could make a come back - but you have called him a cock... there are very few places left for you.. Communist party maybe ?

It's not my labour party , I have never been a member

I just vote for them rather than for the filth

And Blair certainly wasn't a socialist

    And nor am I

You are a tory though and for that you will always be derided by the wise and the meek

    They certainly are

    Inherently selfish

    🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Must be guilt for voting in a party that due to complete idiocy is on PM number 3.

Shame and embarrassment to everyone who voted in this useless government.

I wouldn’t be too critical of people who voted for them in 2019, but I couldn’t be as sympathetic if they then voted the same way in 2024 (presume it will be then).
