Is this site running slow for everyone?

I'm a bit 'out in the sgticks' at the moment.....internet not great.....but since here the past couple of weeks I have had no problem, morning/afternoon/evening .
I DO use UBlock Origin to stop all adverts loading! Maybe you all need to spend a bit of time 'servicing' your devices....

No, it's much faster than us usual at the moment. I'm sure it will be back to it's normal slowness soon.

You’ve got to apply for “tokens”, only problem is that they take up to 2 months to arrive. Saving grace is they’re free.

Token / Session. I'm not sure what the default setting is but it's like when you go to buy something online or you log in to your online bank and it times after after a certain period of time.

I'll have a look in the settings to see if I can find an option to change (or at least see what the time out value is)

Thanks all for your replies - that makes sense Michael, I do tend to leave sessions open rather than close them and return to them, I know I shouldn’t do it, but always do.

Currently it’s at it’s worst ever for me. Around 30 seconds to open, then it opens a full page advert which needs to be closed and then another 30 seconds to open the thread. When opened, initially 80% of the page is then covered in adverts.

Tried all types of blockers for Chrome on an iPad, none work

Seems improved some of the time for me but maybe 1 in 3 it still takes 15+ seconds to load... my money is still on a crappy link to an ad exchange. The versions of the site that have more ads (e.g. iphone) seem the worst.
