Thread: Policy on TRAGEDY CHANTING, provocative banners & clothing

Policy on TRAGEDY CHANTING, provocative banners & clothing

Club will not tolerate “TRAGEDY CHANTING” and it wants our fans to understand the impact it has on family, friends and football supporters in general.
Those closely associated with loss and tragedy and many other fans can become deeply distressed when hearing such chants and it is therefore totally unacceptable behaviour.
We advise that offenders will be sanctioned by the club, in accordance with our ground regulations, customer charter Code of Conduct and Club Sanction Policy.
Incidents are also likely to be investigated by the police for such chanting and associated negative behaviour is now considered a Public Order Offence.
It is also important to note that fans who engage “TRAGEDY CHANTING” or attempt to enter the stadium with flags, banners, or clothing that could be seen as offensive, will be refused entry to, or be ejected from Cardiff City matches home or away, following agreement with fellow clubs.
Thereafter behaviour will be considered for further action as identified above.

The very fact that this message or notice has to be put out there, shows the level of dim witted, ignorant meatheads that walk and sit among us.

English clubs chanting "Aberfan" at us.
Idiots making aeroplane gestures at us.

    Hope that helps.

I'm so so glad they're clamping down on offensive clothing because some of the sights down the ccs in retro gear is just eye watering.

waiting for the first " the worlds gone mad" or "woke has gone too far"

At this weekends Football between AIK and MFF (know your swedish clubs) The AIK fans got hold of a large MFF flag and burnt it on the terrace. There was a 40 minute delay to get back to the football. This BS has to stop, so i'm all for a clamp down.

Retro gear is fine. It's those wearing a Stone Island jumper, cos they haven't got a SI jacket, when it's pissing down with rain, that I find offensive.

Some of the chanting is ridiculous though and rightlybeing addressed. A lot in the Premier league doesn't get wide coverage so it'll be interesting to see how it's dealt with there.

Can we ban all anti-Swansea chants when we're not playing them?

Hopefully the club and police will crack down

All this self policing nonsense is put forward usually by people who are not prepared to actually do it
