  1. #26

Re: WYCOMBE W v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread

    Created very little so far.
    Adams looking lost.

Re: WYCOMBE W v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread

Ramsey best player on the pitch by a mile.

Re: WYCOMBE W v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread

0-0 half time, I make it two hundred and eighty minutes since we scored a goal.

haven't really been threatening that much either, we seem a bit predictable

Re: WYCOMBE W v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread

I think we will score more goals this season than we did last season. I also think we'll concede more.

    He’s been pure class!

Commentators purring about Grant, who hasn’t offered much really.

    Ugbo has been anonymous.
    Ojo doing ok.
Simpson looks like a league 1 player.

I’d replace Ugbo with Grant and bring on Robinson to play on the left.

We're getting the ball into the final third pretty well then rushing it a bit, flinging really poor crosses into the box. We need that extra bit of movement in the box, like you said, it is predictable and quite easy for Wycombe to defend against.

That flick by Ramsey didn’t miss by much, that apart, there’s not been much sign of a goal at either end of the pitch. Don’t understand why Adams is playing deeper than Wintle, it nullifies one of his strengths (his ability to get up and down the pitch) and he’s not as good as Wintle in the role.

We still need three new players going into the starting eleven for the Leeds game.
    A centre-back, centre-forward, and a defensive midfielder with legs.

Grant looks to have that big of class about him though, his control and touches look much more crisp and precise than ojo - who isn't having a bad game either

Agreed. Allsop makes me so nervous but looks like we're stuck with him.

    He's currently down.

    Hurt himself doing absolutely nothing.

Yeah, I know we need a 'keeper too, but I can't see us bringing in 4 players before the start of the season somehow.

Ugbo can't start against Leeds. Not when there's better strikers sitting on the bench. I'd even put Robinson up there even though he's not an out and out striker.

Concerning lack of goals in pre season.

Re: WYCOMBE W v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread

Goutas somehow saves it off the line. He's a beast.

Re: WYCOMBE W v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread

Very poor is this. Quite concerned going into the Leeds game.

    Not even creating chances.

    FT 0-0

Hopefully a much different lineup at Elland Road.

Re: WYCOMBE W v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread

    £4 poorly spent

Re: WYCOMBE W v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread

Three full games and fifty five minutes against Bristol Rovers without a goal - in a way, the worst performance of our pre season, quite concerning really.

Re: WYCOMBE W v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread

Swansea won 4-0 at Reading. Piroe scored twice. I thought he was leaving?

Nah, worth it just to see Ramsey start a game for us.

Hard to feel very positive after that.
