At half time in the football the boys put BBC4 on for some music and it was Top Of The Pops from the 80's.

1. Legs and Co, or Pans People (whatever they were called at the time) were in full on lingerie and I'm sure not suitable for early evening viewing

and

2. It was hosted by Peter Powell the DJ. I told my lad he also had another career making stunt kites.

Only now, 40 years later I find out it wasn't him but another fella called Peter Powell. Dream shattered.

Saw Peter Powell in the Radio 1 roadshow in Porthcawl around 1981, the crowd was enormous. Strange looking back, how those DJs were almost treated like rock stars.
