I seriously doubt it. If there's a minute's silence/applause for these two I've no doubt that, despite the vitriol and abuse both sets of supporters will hurl at each other afterwards, it will be respected by both sets of fans. Club's getting a teeny bit precious IMHO..

This issue was raised at the Supporters Liaison Meeting by an esteemed member of this board on 14 October 2021. See minute no 10 on the enclosed minute from the Club website

The Supporters Club, Supporters Trust, Police reps at the meeting were all of the same opinion that it was unacceptable and distasteful. The Trust emailed its members and got a 100% response that said it was unacceptable and that view was fed back to the club. I know that some club officials personally are of the opinion that the chant is abhorrent but the Club itself has not, to my knowledge, taken a public position on the subject.

Our fans have sung Istanbul to Leeds on numerous occasions

The FA Cup win the singing from the Grange end was relentless and one of the reasons why there was a massive police operation a few years later up at Elland Road
