Aussie goal was one of those where you are just about to curse the player out for not passing.

    Re: Women’s World Cup

Now, you can blame the defending for that one.

I think that it was supposed to be The 1975 supporting them, but whoever it was, they had to cancel at short notice. The great thing was, after playing through Ocean Rain, The Bunnymen had a short break and then came back out and did a greatest hits set… bonus!
Wonderful band one if our greats seen them many times. Villiers Terrace and Back of Love are incredibly good songs .

Such a diverse sounding band .

It's okay, great strikers , passers , sorry they can't defend and a strange sensible atmosphere.

Where's the nasty songs , reminding referee of thier parentship, bare chested bloated fans , the fans need to attend an ashes game for further education in insults.

Spain are a good side, but it’s hard to look past England after that showing.

    Re: Women’s World Cup

Just curious but have Panini done a sticker album for this tournament?
If they haven't this time they probably should for the next Euros at least.

Whilst I’m generally ambivalent about the England men’s team. I root so much for the lionesses

They’re incredible and all very genuine and likeable people. What they are doing now is laying the path for my daughters generation to make a good living in the game

    Re: Women’s World Cup

That was great to watch, some really intelligent play.

The player taking the corner kicks for England - her delivery was fantastic! How many times do we see a City corner kick not clear the first defender, or worse still...go straight out of play!

    Seen bits of the tournament.

You can't compare it to the men's game so people that try to are going to be disappointed.

It has a fair level of skill though and I have enjoyed what I've seen. Most appreciative of the general honesty and lesser amounts of gamesmanship involved.

Also who doesn't love to see an Aussie crowd silenced for a bit.

same with almost any sport, you can't compare women's tennis to mens tennis, but that doesn't mean women's cant be just as entertaining, you just need to get used to the cadence of the game
