Leeds and Leicester games- probably not as hard as we thought?

Everyone was still happy after we threw it away at Leeds after being 2 up and on top. Everyone said but it was against Leeds and not many teams will get anything there this season so its a point gained etc..... well they couldn't even beat Sheffield Wednesday today (they couldn't win their next home game v west brom either).

Leicester we lost at and again most people said nothing to worry about as Leicester will dominate this season. Well they lost at home to Hull today.

Leeds and Leicester may grow into the season but we really could have got 4 or 6 points there. It was a great time to play both. We should have 7 or 9 points from our first 3 away games but we've got 1. Not good enough and the games won't get any easier so those thinking it will be OK against teams not as good as Leicester or Leeds may be in for a shock......

Leicester will probably go back up this season. Hull look a decent side.

I think the games so far show .....

    We can dominate midfield

    We can score goals

But our defence needs tightening up

A bit more understanding over time and a genuine goalscorer possibly and this side will be fine

And we won't have to whack long balls out of defence as we have players who can pass and control midfield.

Leeds gave a good side a scare

    QPR......very poor

Leicester ....gave them a scare too

    Wednesday....poor but got the points

Ipswich .....due to poor tactics came away with nothing but should have had three

If Bulut can swallow his pride and get working on the obvious defects in the team ......and not play defensively when in front ....surely we will be ok 👌

After the manager made a complete cock up. You used to be all for teams attacking us and letting us strike on the break.

To be fair, today wasn’t comparable to the 2nd half against Leeds.
There was hardly had an onslaught with our backs to the wall.

All three of their goals were gifts.

    Going forward we can.

The defence turns to dust when the game gets into the nitty gritty, that goes for Ramsey as well. Inexcusable how poor the midfield becomes during the final phases of the game.

Missed tackles by 1 of our midfield

    Then 3 defenders standing off

What's that got to do with route one football ?

So you missed McGuinness’s aimless punt from the 6 years box straight to one of their players that led to this, seconds before?

That is a case of panicking in defence not route one football.

Defensively we are fragile and that goes from front to back.

To play a possession based game with attacking intentions you have to be strong when the attack breaks down, we look far from strong at the moment.

    We got mugged again yesterday.

Not too bad a start to the season but plenty that needs working on for Bulut.
