Re: CARDIFF CITY v SWANSEA CITY. Match thread

I think we'll throw away another 2 nil lead, but then Rambo scores a 30 yard volley in the 99th minute!

    I fancy us tomorrow

Adams has looked our likeliest red card so far this season - limited evidence but he is the most physical and uncontrolled tackler and there always appear to be a couple of cooler heads nominated to get him away from the ref when things boil over. I like him but always think he is a red card waiting to happen. Can't see him starting. Swansea are due a red against us.

Bowler and O’Dowda are injured which is a really shame as we’ll miss their directness. I’d like to see Tanner start again but I can’t see that happening. :-(

He'll know alright...he's managed in Turkish derbies which are fierce.

Sang played well as I recall and we were right in it up to the red card.

I'm going for another red card tomorrow- my money's on Siopis.

Siopis impressed me when he played in our last home game.

However, there was one incident near the dug out when a twelve foot, hard knock, Sheffield player and our three foot two inch midfielder had a come together and Siopis was up, and in the giants face, not giving an inch. Both players stood their ground and the ref saw nothing un-toward and, after a quick word, got on with the game…

Imagine if a similar incident happens in front of the dug-out against Swansea Town?
I can just picture the Swansea players reaction. I can also picture the Swansea bench reaction. Unfortunately, we can all probably predict the outcome.

Disclaimer… for those of a literal persuasion, I am using slightly loose terms to emphasise my point 👍🏻

The very long and not so cryptic way around to say you think Siopis might get sent off tomorrow.

To be fair we have had some idiotic red cards in recent years.

if we are going to do anything i think siopis will be at the heart of it... time to stand up, stand out and become legendary in an instant

I cant go as im abroad. The first City game I saw us play against them was a 3-2 win with Toshack scoring their 2nd with a brilliant individual goal for them. Since then im 99% certain ive never seen us beat them other than by a single goal.

Maybe with me being away we will win comfortably.

Both sides have had poor starts to the season and a loss for either side will see that teams manager under real pressure.

The weather and entertainment on offer has made an all dayer in Canton quite palatable.

12:30 kick off, spot of lunch, back to the pub for the 4:45 Wales kick off, when that’s over catch the second half of the late kick off then pile into the stadium for our late late kick off.

If we don’t sit back and go at them I reckon this too, but if we do the usual Prozac start, gift them possession and build up their brittle confidence, they will then score and go on to win.
