My recollection of him playing for us is that he always flattered to deceive.

It was a long time ago admittedly and he had a decent career but there were loads of other players from that time who I remember much more fondly (and that is saying something!)

I was only a kid (I don't remember Woodruff) so you kid be right. But he was only 22 when we sold him and he went on to play a higher standard than us with Swansea and Crystal Palace. He also had a good run for Wales.

I used to 'watch' Glamorgan games on ceefax, waiting for the scorecard to scroll round and round. And snooker! The frame score would stay the same for 20 mins - and I'd be staring at it waiting for it to change.........!!! Happy times.

Brilliant. It was all we had, and i was more than happy with it.

****ing great, wasn't it. I remember buying a holiday off Teletext, couldn't pause the page so had to wait for it to go around again, took two hours and the holiday had gone up by £20

I remember calling 'Clubcall' a phone line that gave updates and reports on City. It was from a phone box and it was a freight rover-Leyland Daf-Mini cooper cup game thingy against Walsall at the bescot. I think that we lost 5-3 the call must have cost me £2 back in 1989. That was an hours work back then
