It's not an excuse apparently but the Yanks have been ill

Hovland and Aberg just beat Scheffler and Koepka 9&7 - a Ryder Cup record.

Incredible, Scheffler and Koepka ended up hacking the ball back and forth across the eleventh green like a pair of eighteen handicappers.

World no.1 Scheffler "rested" for this afternoon after his mullering this morning.

Europe just won the session to lead 9 1/2 to 2 1/2.

Some of those American players have disrespected the competition by not playing for weeks before the tournament.
Also talk of them demanding payment.

Slightly O/T but that feckin looping background theme tune is getting right on my tits

    Re: The Ryder Cup

A better session for the US but they'd have been hoping to close the 5 point overnight lead today and haven't.

McIlroy still has flashes when he looks like the player who was going to dominate the game a decade ago, but there's a fallibility about him now that suggests he'll still be a very good player for the rest of his career, but not the truly great one he promised to be - maybe his anger was a bit down to frustration with himself that he buckled slightly when previously he wouldn't have?

A bit harsh on Mcllroy ,he has the best record of any player in this years Ryder Cup . Cantlay played superb on the 16th,17th and 18th last night to nick a point .
There aren't many players I would rather have in my team than Mcllroy.

Yes, I probably was a bit harsh, he’s still number two in the world, but how many golf fans would have believed back in 2014 that he’d still be stuck on four major wins nine years later?

He’s doing the business today though, just gone four up.

    Re: The Ryder Cup

Looking a bit shaky today isn’t it. Have to say that finish yesterday could be a real turning point.

    Isn't it just.

Projected 15 1/2 but the nerves look like they are kicking in to the Europeans.

Imagine MacIntyre needs to get something

    Edit: Fitzpatrick

Come on Rahm, get a half!!

Great tee shot! Tommy Fleetwood now odds on to get the half needed.
