Thread: Mega injury blows

    Mega injury blows

    From Glen Williams

    Mega Cardiff injury blows.

Ramsey out for 8/10 weeks, Bulut says. If he does have surgery it will ADD a further 3 months. Means he's out of all Wales qualifiers.

Also O'Dowda out for 10/12 weeks after surgery. Meite & Etete a months each. Miserable news.

It's going to be a long hard winter.

    Big blows.
Collins is ok for Saturday though, and sounds like Bowler is nearly ready.

    Re: Mega injury blows

Looks like O Dowda will miss most of this season then by the time he gets back to match fitness. I suspect Ramsey could take longer than the stated 8 - 10 weeks too as he won’t want to rush back with fears of the injury reoccurring again

January window can’t come soon enough then. We’re going to get a good look at the squad over the next couple of months now, great chance for some of the younger players to shine.

    Exactly

We have points on the board

Colwill and a few others have the chance now

Guessing he's already had the surgery in which case he should be back Christmas time.

    Our luck is poxed!

The way we have been playing high tempo comes at a cost, particularly with a threadbare squad.

Luckily we've had a decent start to the season and picking up a few points here and there til the January TW will hopefully be enough not to start worrying too much about the dreaded.

Will be interesting to see how Bulit responds tactically.

    Re: Mega injury blows

Not entirely unexpected.....as in a previous post, let's hope Ramsey can help mentor the younger players...even if it is mental strength.
Why are we getting so many groin/hamstring injuries....it's not THAT high a press causing it.
Going to be a hard three months until January...

People thinking we're unlucky. Rotherham had 9 injuries when they played us. No doubt most teams are carrying injuries at our levels.

High tempo? Have I missed this?

The relentless of the league is clearly a factor on its unpredictable nature of games played.

Shows we're no worse off than most other teams in this league.

Ramsey is a huge loss, he gives us that extra quality. Hopefully just the 8 weeks.

Hopefully Bowler will be back soon to cover Meite and we do have some side options.

Isn't the biggest short term problem that we have been spearheading the team with a mix of Ugbo, Meite and Etete in the centre. If two of the three are missing who rotates with Ugbo? Let's hope the Isaac Vassell Memorial Treatment table is kinder than of late!

Well, at least we only have to hold out until the January window, when Cousin Vinnie will sanction some big purchases.
